One Round Down ... Two to go

There was not much of a spark in last weeks Round One playoff match-up. The Philly Hitmen knocked off the Sonic Soul Force 91-75. The whole thing was kinda like a slow motion train wreck. RB, Willie Parker, was the only starter in the NFL Network Thursday night rip-off game. Parker lead the Hitmen out of the gate with 27 points and they never trailed.

That setups up the following round two match-ups:
#4 Philly Hitmen at #1 Rando's Razorbacks
This one looks like a close call. The teams split thier two regular season match-ups. It's all about LT for the Razobacks. Does Tomlinson take the foot off the gas after breaking the single season touchdown record? The Hitmen would love to get another 27 point bulge out of Willie Parker this week who faces the slumping Carolina Panthers on the road.

#3 Double D's Flyin' Tigers at # Brooklyn Pitbulls
This match-up is also too close to call. The Pitbulls torched Double D 102-41 in week#11. But the Tigers' have dumped Rex Grossman for Brett Farve and placed their faith in a stellar game from Reggie Bush when he's actually in the starting line-up. The Pitbulls are hoping for a 1-2 punch at RB. Rudi Johnson gets a shot at Indy's porous running defense (ripped for over 300 yards vs the Jags) and Not-so-small Jamal Lewis gets a start against the Cleavland Browns who have already made their golf reservation for the off season.

It's anyone's guess who will make the Championship game. I guess its been that way all year. It's to late for that to change now.

The Post-Season Dance Begins ...

The dust has finally settled on the most competitive (or mediocre) season one could ask for and we're ready for the big dance.

Here's the playoffs seedings

#1 Rando's Razorbacks (8-5) PF/PA 1251/1219 - For the Razorbacks its all about LaDainian Tomlinson. LT leads the league in scoring averaging 28 PPG. Add the #1 ranked Bears defense and the Razorbacks are a formidable force. Thier biggest fear could be the Chargers & Bears record. Rando wants these teams to lose next week. So they have something to play for in weeks 15 & 16.

#2 Brooklyn PitBulls (8-5) PF/PA 1089/966 - Last years champ tip toes into the dance. The meager 73-60 win over the Hitmen was the only way they could have done it. Mind you 1 of those wins was a week #8 tie breaker and their leading scorer is Micheal Vick (19 PPG). Vick plays Dallas & Carolina in weeks 15 & 16. Who knows which Micheal Vick will show up.

#3 DDs Flyin' Tigers (8-5) PF/PA 1036/1013 - Yes, Double D you made it. Even without starting Reggis Bush last week-end. Despite being the lowest point scorer in the post season the Tigers just keep finding ways to win.

#4 Philly Hitmen (7-6) PF/PA 1149/998 - Craigs Hitmen stage a huge charge at the end of the season and land in the playoffs in spite of their week #13 lose.

#5 The Soul Sonic Force (7-6) PF/PA 1080/1041 - Talk about limping into the payoffs, the Sonic Force lose their last game in which the scored a lousy 34 points. It seems they had nothin' left after the week #12 177 point out of body experience. They were lucky to be here at all after landing the last playoff spot by 5 points over the Raiders.

Round #1 Match-ups
#5 The Soul Sonic Force @ #4 Philly Hitmen | Projection Hitmen -20
Romo Smomo the Force are running on fumes. Frank Gore and Joeseph Addai will be hitting the freshman wall this week and the Force will need a miracle to win (not that it hasn't happened before). The Hitmen look to be the better team on paper, but I can't figure out where the point will be coming from.

7.12.06

177 @*!#%&*@ fREAKIN' Points!

The week#12 performance by the Force was unbelievable. 5 TD's from Tony Romo(42), 4 TD's from Joseph Addai(45), heck even the kicker had 13 points. That monster game and a few surprise wins (or losses depending on your perspective) has turned the league on it's ear in week #12. Its wake has left a play-off picture so complicated it will take a super computer to figure out. With 5 teams at 7-5 and 3 at 6-6, 8 teams still have a shot at one of the 5 playoffs spots. Nobody has clinched a playoff berth. The bottom line for these teams is "Score as many as you can". The first tie breaker is points for. Lets look at the week#13 where all 5 games are intra-division match-ups. The FAB Five has had the edge all year, but the BIG five has come on at the end to boast three 7-5 teams.
SANDBAGGERS (3-9) @ RAZORBACKS (7-5)
Rando has the easiest road to the playoffs sittin' at 7-5 and playing this years worst team (the Baggers have the lowest PF, 869). Even with a loss the Razorbacks could squeak by on points (okay ... if that doesn't but the kabash on Rando, nothin' will).

HITMEN (7-5) @ PITBULLS (7-5)
The winner is in ... the loser is counting points. The Hitmen are favored by 14. But they need Steve Smith to really smoke the Eagles this week. Most teams have tended to run the ball on Philly. The PitBuls need Micheal Vick to shake off the dull drums against the Deadskins. Joe Gibbs has put a fire under his team and the could be poised to go on a win streak like last year's charge to the playoffs. Both teams are projected to make the playoffs.

SONIC FORCE (7-5) @ DDS FLYIN' T... (7-5)
The word here is ... Win and your in! This one is a pick 'em. What's the chance that lightning will strike twice for the TSSF? That 4 game win streak is bound to end, right? The force need another good game from Frank Gore. The banged up RB plays the Saints on the road. Double D needs to win. It's that simple. The Tigers have been suffering from QB'itus. Rex Grossman's roller coaster season has created a quandary. DD will probably bench 'em and cross his fingers.

OB'S METHOD (6-6) @ RAIDERS (6-6)
Two teams on the outside looking. Both must win and score enuff points to make the post season. This one's projected to be dead even. Romo is looking for Shaun Alexander to post a big game. OB ... just needs everyone to freakin' score man.

KOYOTES (6-6) @ JETS (4-8)
Look how far the mighty Koyotes have fallen. They are projected to loose this one by a narrow margin and complete the biggest collapse in fantasy football history. At mid-season they were 6-2.A Koyotes loss would be 5 straight. They need LJ and Tory Holt to have monster games. The rest of their squad is pedestrian. Here ya go Chet ... last chance to play the spoiler and Krush Pamela out of the playoffs.

Power Rankings for the stretch run to the playoffs

With the Turkey day games this week it's been painfully slow to watch your match-up unfold. Some of us won't know the finally tally until MNF. So I figured it was a good time to look at the Power Rankings going into the season's stretch run.

#1 Brooklyn PitBulls (7-4) PF/PA 932/811 W2 | The Pitbulls are the idiot savants of Fantasy Football. Their roster is not that formidable at first glance. But they have made the right moves at the right time. No one has scored over 100 more times(5). It seems last year's champ wants to show it is not a fluke. I can't wait to see them tank.

#2 Romo's Raiders (6-5)PF/PA 864/927 L1 | The Raiders are tough despite the loss in week #11. The 4 game win streak without Shaun Alexander has been masterful. You have to think they will at least make it to the championship game.

#3 Rando's Razorbacks (7-4) PF/PA 1023/1000 W4 | The Razorbacks are the Rodney Dangerfield of fantasy football. Despite a 4 game win streak and the highest PF and PA ranking, they don't get any respect. Sure, without LT they would have a losing record. But can't you give them a little credit for moves like sticking with Lee Evans who scored 39 points on two 82 yards TDs last week. Hmmm ... maybe not.

#4 Krushin' Koyotes (6-5) PF/PA 975/931 L3 | How low can you go? Not just losing to the Sandbaggers, but losing McNabb in the process. Time to hit that panic button ... if they can find it.

#5 The Soul Sonic Force (6-5) PF/PA 869/869 W3 | The PF & PA totals speak volumes about the Force. Just about the middle of the pack. Sure they have won 3 straight, but the were against the Jets, OB and the Baggers.

#6 Philly Hitmen (6-5) PF/PA 974/834 W2 ! Great effort to fight thru an up & down season. The Hitmen could make the playoffs by virtue of their PF ranking (because they are in the Big Five).

#7 DD's Flyin' Tigers (6-5) PF/PA 879/908 L2 | The magic is gone. Double D is human after all.

#8 OB's Method (5-6) PF/PA 834/848 L3 | OB ... coming up small down the stretch. I think it's the Payton Manning curse.

#9 Chet's Jets (3-4) PF/PA 861/944 L2 | No comeback this year.

#10 Brown's Sandbaggers (3-8) PF/PA 792/931 W1 | Brownie playin' the spoiler. Nice win over the Koyotes (87-73). But you need to be careful not to screw up next years #1 draft position.

24.11.06

Logjam on the leaderboard in Week#10 ... Just when we thought we had it figured out

Suddenly there are 5 teams at 6-4! There are 3 teams just outside the fence at 5-5 looking to make the playoffs . Competition is fierce. The Fab Five continued their dominance by winning 2 of 3 intra-division games this week.

Chet and Brownie could be the wild card. They ain't winning, but they ain't exactly rolling over either. Both teams posted over 80 in week #10. A loss to either of these teams could knock you out of the playoffs. But if you do lose to one of these spoilers you are probably a fraud anyway.

PITBULLS (6-4) @ KOYOTES (6-4) 92-82 | The Pitbulls end a 2 game skid and the Koyotes to continue slump (L2). Not even the extra touchdown from McNabb to Buckhalter could help the Koyotes. Michael missed out on Chad Johnson's coming out party. He left 39 points on the bench.

SONIC FORCE (5-5) @ OB'S METHOD (5-5) 62-55 | The Force has won 2 in a row and OB has lost 2 in a row. Both guys are on the playoff bubble. Neither team looked impressive in this match-up. TSSF isn't scaring anyone with a QB like Eli Manning (-2).

RAIDERS (6-4) @ DDS FLYIN' TIGERS (6-4) 90 82 | Nobody is hotter that the Raiders (W4). He keeps finding away to win. The Raiders could be a formidable playoff opponent when Shaun Alexander returns. The Tigers panicked and benched Rex Grossman (31). Sometimes you can be too smart for your own good.

RAZORBACKS (6-4) @ JETS (3-7) 117-92 | Its nice to have LT (40). The RB has had 3 or more TDs in 3 straight games (all wins for Rando). The Razorbacks are 2nd in points scored (PF 893), but overdue for a loss. Tomlinson can't score 3 TD's every week. Can he?

SANDBAGGERS (2-8) @ HITMEN (5-5) 81-94 | I big day for Donald Driver (26) wasn't enuff for Brownie. The Hitmen were powered by Willie Parker (35) 2 TDs and 210 yards rushing. They match-up against the OB Method in Week#11 in a must win game for both 5-5 teams.

15.11.06

Koyotes and Tigers rule in Week#9

Four weeks to go an the Koyotes and Tigers have hung on to the leads in their divisions. But there are fours teams within a game of the division lead. This has been an extremely competitive year. At this point Brownie's Sandbaggers are the only team guaranteed to have a losing season. Chet's comeback has started. He can still run the table for a playoff berth :).
KOYOTES (6-3) @ RAIDERS (5-4) 60-107 | Pamela wasn't ready for McNabbs BYE week. Romo is HOT.The winner of 3 straight has climbed into 2nd place.

HITMEN (4-5) @ RAZORBACKS (5-4) 90 - 101 | Rando prevails in a pivotal match-up of 4-4 teams. Seattle sub Senaca Wallace (17) put the Razorbacks over the top in MNF. Craig has been snake bitten. He leads the division in PF and PA, but that hasn't translated into Wins. He needs a win in a bad way. Oh, look here! He plays the Sandbaggers next week. Just what the doctor ordered.

SONIC FORCE (4-5) @ SANDBAGGERS (2-7) 83-82 | The baggers took the Sonic Force to task, but the Force steal one. Brownie needed Dion Branch to score 1 stinkin' point on MNF for a win.

JETS (3-6) @ PITBULLS (5-4) 79-53 | The Pitbulls have lost 2 in a row. No longer the front runner. The magic is gone. Now the match up next week with the Koyotes is a "must win".

OB'S METHOD (5-4) @ DDS FLYIN' TIGERS (6-3) 61-107 | Damn, how does he do that? The Tigers rebound from last weeks loss to win a pivotal division match up. OB really needed that win, but 61 points ain't gonna do it brother.

10.11.06

Koyotes break from the pack in Week#8

Week #8 posted the highest scoring totals this year. Half the teams scored over 100. The Koyotes overcame a pathetic performance by McNabb (9) to extend thier lead in the Fab Five. Larry Johnson picked up the slack with 4 TDs (42) SONIC FORCE (3-5) @ KOYOTES (6-2) 68-95 McNabb has a BYE next week. Pamela will have some work to do to beat Romo.

RAZORBACKS (4-4) @ FLYIN' TIGERS (5-3) 109-94 Rando props up everyone in the Big Five division with a win over DD. LT posted 42 points for the Razobacks, who reached .500 but still trail the division leaders by 1.

PITBULLS (5-3) @ RAIDERS (4-4) 108-108 *HOME TEAM WINS (RAIDERS). Boy ties suck don't they? The dogs have their best outing in weeks and Romo sneaks a win on a home team tie breaker. Nice start of Ahman Green (25) Romo.

OB'S METHOD (5-3) @ SANDBAGGERS (2-6) 76-55
OB backs into 1st place with a win over Brownie. The method will need more than 76 points to beat Double D next week. The winner of that match-up will rule the Big Five (for a week at least).

HITMEN (4-4) @ JETS (2-6) 113-77
The Hitmen come off life support to post the weeks' highest total. Reggie Wayne paid big dividends (34). Like any of Peyton Mannig's receivers, Wayne can explode for 3 TD's on any given Sunday. The trick is to figure out which one. We'll have to wait another week for Chet's big comeback.:)

2.11.06

Mid-Season Power Rankings (week#7)

The Contenders
(1) Krushin' Koyotes 5-2, PF/PA 665/577, W1
Previous Rank (PR) #3. McNabb's average score is 38 points per game. 18 for Larry Johnson. Two starters averaging 56 points will make any line-up look good.

(2) Brooklyn PitBulls 5-2, PF/PA 576/501, W1
PR#1. The dogs are fightin' back, but they're having a problem with consistency.

(3) DDs Flyin' Tigers 5-2, PF/PA 555/545, W1
PR#5. The Tigers are up two slots. We're no longer guessing if they're contenders, but there is an element of luck in many of their wins.

(4)The Soul Sonic Force 3-4, PF/PA 586/584, L1
PR#9. The biggest mover in the rankings. We told you they were better than their record. But their logo is whacked.

(5) OB's Method 4-3, PF/PA 577/526, W3
PR#6. OB has won 3 straight to climb into the contenders column. Too bad Peyton Manning’s doesn't play the Redskins every week. Hmm, Brian Westbrook gets 2 cracks at the skins. This might be a good season for OB.

The Pretenders

(6) Philly Hitmen 3-4, PF/PA 579/510, L1
PR#2. The Hitmen have fallen and they can't get up.

(7) Rando's Razorbacks 3-4, PF/PA 566/662, L1
PR#8. The Razorback’s are not ready for prime time.

(8)Romo's Raiders 3-4, PF/PA 497/547, W1
PR#4. Could move up with more balanced attacks like last week's match-up.

(9)Chet's Jets 2-5, PF/PA 560/591. L2
PR#7. Chet's getting ready to break-out. Look for the comeback kid to go 5-1 in the last 6 games.

(10)Brown's Sandbaggers 2-5, PF/PA 487/605, L1
PR#10. Somebody's gotta be last. Brownie has been doing a great job holding down this spot. So why not?

The Koyotes whip the dogs in Week#5 to lead the Fab Five

KOYOTES (4-1) @ PITBULLS (4-1)
Krushin' Koyotes 98
Brooklyn PitBulls 77
Pamela kicks but again this week. It's nice to have McNabb at QB right now (31 pts). These two teams seperated themselves from the rest of the Fab Five. But both have tuff match-ups in week #6.

DDS FLYIN' T... (4-1) @ RAZORBACKS (2-3)
Pottstown DDs Flyin' Tigers 92
Rando's Razorbacks 68
The Razorbacks where humbled by Double D's brilliance. The Tigers control the Big Five now with 3 straight wins.

SANDBAGGERS (1-4) @ SONIC FORCE (2-3)
Brown's Sandbaggers 68
The Soul Sonic Force 78
Hey, Brownie ... when a starter has a BYE. They might not score any points that week.

HITMEN (2-3) @ OB'S METHOD (2-3)
Philly Hitmen 62
Trooper OB's Method 70
OB with the win! Even Brownie could have beat 62.

RAIDERS (2-3) @ JETS (2-3)
Romo's Raiders 57
Romo has lost 2 straight without Alexander (RB).

12.10.06

The Force wins first game in Week #4

More than half the owners polled last week picked the Soul Sonic Force to win their 1st game. So their 85-64 pasting of the Hitmen was not a surprise. Despite the overtime touchdown by Clinton Portis (20), the Force had their weakest score to date. Steve Smith was back (17) for the Hitmen, but the 'Edge' (7) was not so hot for the Cards. They fall back into the pack of the Big Five

The Pitbulls stay undefeated with a tepid win (55-45) over Romo's Raiders. Romo had poor performances from all his starters, but could have pulled it out had his replacement for Alexander played on MNF (Ahman Green was a late scratch). So Mikey just got lucky this week.

The Koyote's are the new king of the hill. They smoked the lowly Sandbaggers (131-66) with the highest total score to date, the Highest PF (379), and the league highest scorer, Donavan McNabb(117). Philly's #5 has been on fire this season and there's no reason to think it won't continue next week when the Koyote's match up against the undefeated PitBulls. We're picking the double K's by 15.

Double D extends his win streak to 2 and vaults into 1st place in the Big Five. The Bears, Rex Grossman (20) came thru to help beat the Jets (97-85). The Tigers are 3-1. How does he do that?

Rando cruised to an easy win (94-63), when OB's star RB Brian Westbrook took a sick day against the Packers on MNF. Razorbacks’ WR Terry Glenn (19) caught five passes for 54 yards with 2 TDs in Sunday's win over the Titans. The R'backs take on the Tigers next week for a piece of 1st place in Big Five division.

So week #5 will showcase 2 BIG division games: Pitbulls vs Koyote for the Fab Five lead, and the Flyin' Tigers vs The Razorbacks in the Big Five. Something’s gotta give.

5.10.06

Week #3 Power Rankings

It's week #3 so I figure there might be enuff stats to start the Power Rankings. But first let's looks how the two divisions are stack'n up. Teams from the Fab Five have both the best and worst league records( 3-0 & 0-3). They have also scored the most points (1252-1166). A difference of 86 points. So the Big Five is the weaker division ... so far. The league scoring average is 80 points. So pat yourself on the back if you scored better than 80 this week.

POWER RANKINGS
Teams that might be contenders

(1) Brooklyn PitBulls (3-0) PF 322 PA 233 Streak W3
Okay some props are due to the Pitbulls. High score two weeks in a row ... Only team to score over 100 each week. The PA is in the middle of the pack. So they haven't been beating up on losers. And the move last week to pick up Brett Farve (32) and bench Michael Vick (12) was impressive.

(2) Philly Hitmen (2-1) PF 280 PA 216 Streak W2
The Hitmen seemsto be clicking after a downer in week #1. You might say the low PA is a sign of weakness. But they're in the Big Five ... they have to play the teams on the schedule. They will be tested next week in their first match up with a Fab Five opponent. The Soul Sonic Force could be trouble.

(3) Krushin' Koyotes (2-1) PF 248 PA 240 Streak L1
The K's finally lost in a heartbreaker 63-64 to Romo's Raiders. But it was just a matter of time after winning two by a total of nine points. Cheer up Pamela ... you’re playin’ Brownie this week.

(4) Romo's Raiders (2-1) PF 214 PA 229 Streak W2
Joe has a two game win streak going. QB Carson Palmer looked good against the Steelers. But trouble's a brewing! The Raider's #1 RB is Shaun Alexander ... OUCH! There might be a good trade opportunity here.

(5) DDs Flyin' Tigers 2-1) PF 209 PA 204 Streak W1
It's a mystery how the Tigers have won two games ... Oh, I see ... Nobody has a lower PA than Double D. That means the two teams he beat are probably from the "U SUX" list below.

Teams that might Sux!

(6) Trooper OB's Method (1-2)PF 233 PF 224 Streak W1
That Peyton Manning pick (8th) is working pretty well for ya OB. Although you could argue that his brother Eli was a better pick at 47. Both have 70 points scored and are tied for 2nd in the league. OB also has the 4th best scorer, Brian Westbrook (68). So why isn't he winning? OB just got of the snide with a 84-68 win over the Jets.

(7) Chet's Jets (1-2) PF 228 PF 248 Streak L2
The Jets are in a free fall since week #1. Tikki Barber doesn't seem to be the stalwart he was last year. When will Chet realize that the Giants are frauds?

(8) Rando's Razorbacks (1-2) PF 216 PF 279 Streak L1
The Razorback's have played a tuff schedule so far. In their 2 losses the opponent put up the best scores of the week. So that 279 points against might be a good excuse for the losses, but they probable just stink.

(9) The Soul Sonic Force(0-3)PF 272 PF 302 Streak L3
Why is the Force is ranked #9? Because nobody deserves to be last when they have the 2nd best points scored.

(10)Brown's Sandbaggers (1-2)PF 196 PF 243 Streak L2
Brownie stinks!

Only two undefeated teams left by Week #2

The shape of this season has yet to be revealed as there are only two undefeated teams left by Week #2. The Pittbulls appears to be the dominant team. They boast a 2-0 record and the highest total score for the second consecutive week. The Koyotes are also 2-0, but their largest margin of victory is 6 points. Both teams are part of the FAB 5 division that has the edge over the BIG 5 in interdivision play. BYE weeks start in week 3. Let's see how strong the bench is for these two teams

PITBULLS (2-0) @ SANDBAGGERS (1-1)
Brooklyn PitBulls 109
Brown's Sandbaggers 60
Game of the Week: This battle of the undefeated wasn't such a battle after all. The Pitbulls are the only team to top 100 points in week #2 with monster games from Michael Vick (26) and Rudi Johnson 27.

OB'S METHOD (0-2) @ KOYOTES (2-0)
Trooper OB's Method 86
Krushin' Koyotes 89
This was the last game to be decided in week #2. The Steelers Defense put the double K's over the top in their loss to the Jags on MNF. OB scored better this week, but the Koyotes wily work out a win.

SONIC FORCE (0-2) @ RAIDERS (1-1)
The Soul Sonic Force 90
Romo's Raiders 96
Carlson Pamler wakes up to score 22 in Romo's win. Eli Manning's (30) comeback effort wasn't enuff to keep the Sonic Force from fallin' 0-2.

HITMEN (1-1) @ DDS FLYIN' T... (1-1)
Philly Hitmen 81
DDs Flyin' Tigers 60
Ready to dump Chris Simms yet Double D? You know you're a loser when the kicker (Vinatieri) is the high scorer for your team (14).

JETS (1-1) @ RAZORBACKS (1-1)
Chet's Jets 60
Rando's Razorbacks 79
Looking on the bright side of things, Chet was tied with 2 other teams for low score of the week.

Week One Weaklings

The much anticipated kick-off to the FFL season had finally arrived. But it appears that several NFL team we not as prepared as they thought. Teams like the Panthers, Seahawks, Chiefs and Broncos were a bit weak in the knees and the mighty Patriots needed a late game safety to beat the Bills. All this lead to some poor performances for some fantasy team owners.

Rando's Razorbacks suffered a (81-105) loss to the Boys from Brooklyn. Rando's QB Jake Jake Delhomme could only muster 3 points as the Panthers were toothless without Steve Smith. Mike Vick looked good against Carolina to give the dogs 21 pts. Even though they have LT, the Razorbacks could be a fraud this year.

Brownie's Sandbaggers outlasted Romo's Raiders (76-52) in a snoozefest. Kurt Warner's 28 pts for the Baggers was the hilite. Don't get to excited Brownie the Cards don't play San Fran every week. It’s hard to say if either of these two will be any good.

The Krushin' Koyotes eeked out a win (96-90) over the Soul Sonic Force (Whazzup wit dat logo bro). Philly's No. 5 (28 pts) was smokin’ for the Koyotes, while San Fran rookie Frank Gore (26) was impressive for the Force. SSF could be on shaky ground, Gore's gonna need to prove himself each week and with the injury to Trent Green (did you see that hit) they are dependent on Peyton Manning’s little brother.

Perhaps I dogged Double D a little too much this week. He did manage to beat out OB (67-60) in a pedestrian affair. But his QB situation is bleek with Rothelsburger on the shelf and the Bucs Chris Sims scoring negative points. Charlie Batch must look like the second coming of Dan Marino to the Tigers. OB, well his guys just didn't get it done. Maybe that tall rookie QB isn't the best thing for Antonio Gates. Could it be that the diminutive Drew Brees threw to 'em so much 'cause the lanky TE what the only one he could see over the offensive line.

Maybe that new name isn't tuff enuff Craig. Chet's Jets had a nice win over the Hitmen (100-85)). But I don't know if I would get too exited about 21 points from my kicker in the altitudes of Mile High stadium. The Hitmen should bounce back. QB Culpepper (6 pts) just ran into a Steelers squad that was amped up on SuperBowl juice.

Week #2 Game to Watch: The Baggers and The PitBulls are the only match-up between undefeated teams. The early line is the PitBulls by 12.

We are all systems go for a new season

Everyone transaction count7er has been set to zero. So we are ready to go. Double D has already suffered another blow to the walkin wounded. Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger had an appendectomy and The Flyin' Tigers may be going with Tampa Bays Chris Simms instead of Big Ben's backup. All Batch did was toss 3 touchdowns. One was a record 87 yard TD to TE Heath Miller. Double D also has Miller, but he was benched for thursday's game!

Every other team in the BIG Five division is smiling 'cause they get to play the Tigers twice.

Can the league's best fantasy wide receiver sport a mohawk?

Is Chad Johnson the number one wide out on your depth chart? Can you really trust a guy with a mohawk? What if he died it blonde? Gil Brandt at NFL.Com thinks so. Here's "What to look for in a fantasy WR" according to Gil.

Honestly, do any you of you out there actually buy any of the bullcrap these guys are selling?

This year’s league fee is $45. Send your checks or money orders to the treasurer: Pamela Freeman

No significant rule changes this year. We have increased the number of running backs and wide receivers you can carry this year to 5. The limit of 4 was making trades too complicated. There will be no fees for adds/drops/trades completed before Sept. 7. After 13 add/drops each player acquisition will cost you a buck. Trades are a buck and must be approved by the Commish.

Brownie, the draft order is based on the previous year’s regular season record. So tuff sh*t you draft last. But any newcomers will draft behind you so cheer up.

Are You Ready for the 2006-07 Season?

Larry Johnson is this year's Projected Fantasy Football no brainer.

Will Herm Edwards keep feeding 'em the ball. Can the KC line still open holes he can waltz thru? Is he ready for a full season? Are you ready for a new season?

Football Starts September 7th!
