Unlucky losers in week #3

The were several unlucky losers in week #3 ... 1 team falls from the ranks of the upbeaten .. 2 teams remain undefeated ... Player injuries begin to muddy the waters.

Pennington's injury put the Jets season into a tailspin

But you can't count anyone out this year. A turnover or two could have made the difference in a several match-ups.

OB'S METHOD (2-1) @ HANDS DD'S FLYIN' TIGERS(0-3) ANOTHER LOSS 106-95
Shaun Alexander (38) is looking good for OB. Ya gotta love those players in this last year of thier contract. Double D is the unlucky loser in spite of a brilliant pick up of Eli Manning (27) off the waiver wire. But Manning may be a mirage. He has only thrown 5 TDS and his WRs stink (3 WR have a combined 20 points, Jeremy Schockey has 24) ... you think teams will figure that out soon? A weak running game equates to a poor start for the tigers.

MC SQUARED (0-3) SUBCUMB to the NEXT LEVEL (3-0) 117-122
Tuff luck for MC continues. A heavy dose of LT (44) and Kerry Collins (25) cover up the Next Level's weak running game. You score 100+ you had a good week ... right? Well I guess it wasn't good enuff. Good news MC, you get the 1-2 Mountain Men next week who are struggling on a 2 game losing streak or thier own.

KOYOTE KILLERS (0-3) ARE EDGED OUT BY PITBULLS (2-1) 99-101
The Koyotes weren't lucky enough to get thier first win. The boys from Brooklyn had a balanced performance (6 starters in double digits). But KK could have won had they started Roethlisberger (21) over McNair (18). Didn't we talk about this last week?

SANDBAGGERS (2-1) SNEAK BY MOUNTAIN MEN (1-2) 64-55
Talk 'bout your dumb luck. The rookie wins without Manning (7) or Harrison (5). Drew has to be kicking himself. He starts Trent Green (14) over the slumping Culpepper who lights it up for 33 points. Boy dat suxs.

JETS (1-2) HUMBLED BY THE POSSE (3-0) 42-119
Steve Smith (35 points) was like Denny's ... he was always open. He nearly beat the Jets single handedly. The Jets have the poorest #PF this year (188) and thier record shows it.

RAIDERS (2-1) BEAT RAZORBACKS (2-1) on the road 91-54
The Razorbacks have been a paper tiger so far this season. They suffer thier 1st loss after posting a measeley 64 points a game in 3 games. Romo bounced back after a tuff lost last week

Week#2 brings return to Sanity and the Insane

Sanity returns to the Fantasy Football Universe. Most of the top players shook of the week #1 blues to post the kind of numbers we are accustom to. But the Eagles/49ers game was insane and the Bears/Lions game was a freak of nature!

The Bears had a PR TD, 5 Interceptions (1 INT TD), and 2 sacks in their 36-6 waxing of the Lions. The PitBulls racked up 34 points from the Bears D/ST and steamrolled the Mountain Men 153-75 for their 1st win.

OB, didn’t give up on McNabb after a poor performance and an injury in week#1. He was rewarded with a HUGE 5 TD performance (41 points) from the Eagles QB in a 42-3 flogging of the 49ers. OB coasted to a 142-78 win over MC who falls to 0-2. MC had another poor showing from Jake the Snake Plummer (7), but it wouldn’t have matter anyway. Life won’t get any better for MC. The Next Level is on deck next week. Can you say Ooh and Three?

The Next Level was sweating out the Saints/Giants game Monday. They were on the good side of a 76-75 match-up against Romo’s Raiders. Two more points from Deuce McAllister (8) would have tipped the scale in Romo’s favor. Both teams figure to do well this season.

Chet’s Jets gets off the snide with a 86-70 win or Double D. Could this be the beginning of a Jets comeback? Yea, Right.! DD is still IOW (In Search of a Win).

The Koyote Killers were MIA in their 76-56 loss to the Razobacks. Hey KK, hears a tip. Don’t even think about benching Roethlisberger (22) for McNair again(13)! Hellooo!

In the game of the week, The Rookie takes in on the chin in a 71-61 loss to the Posse. So far, Peyton Manning (2) isn’t putting up the numbers he did last year. Nice #1 draft pick rookie.

Week#1 leaves many Questions and few answers?

Any fantasy gamer will tell you that seasons are not won or lost after one week. With 8 of last years NFL playoff teams losing, nothing seems certain. One thing does look pretty clear is that Romo's Raiders will be a force again this year. The Raiders beat up the Koyotes 101-63 to post the highest score in week #1. The Raiders, lead by Tom Brady (24), had 5 of 8 starters with double digit points!

Last year's cellar dweller, raised it to the Next Level, with a 94-53 win over OB. The Next level was also paced by a QB (Collins 26 pts) in the Thursday nite kick-off game.

OB suffered because of the poor outings by the Eagles & the Seahawks. Look for him to do better next week against MC.

The Rookie managed to sweat out a tough match up with the Pit bulls (89-85). The question is "was he just lucky"?

Double D falls to the Posse by the slim margin of 81-73. Would things have been different had Antonio Gates not been suspended?

The Mountain Men overcame Chets Jets 69-59 despite a 0 point performance from Dante Culpepper. The purple clad field general suffered from this year's rule that penalizes players for interceptions and lost fumbles. Will this plague Drew all year?

Negative points surely had a hand in MC's 61-60 loss to Rando's Razorbacks. However both teams looked like they were on life support.

Romo's Raiders and the Next Level look to be the early favorite this year. Will they continue? Yo! Calm down. It only week #1.

The prime match-up of week #2 is the Posse against the rookie (both 1-0). Can the rookie keep it going?
